Yes. There are no charges for anything on this site.
How many Japanese characters does this site have?
This site has lessons for all Hiragana and Katakana characters.
This site has quizes for 250 Kanji. There are a over 2000 Kanji used in everyday Japanese. However, these 250 Kanji are by far the most common and cover the majority of characters in a Japanese Newspaper.
